About Lily

Lily Glidden graduated Tufts in 2012 with a degree in Biology. She was President of TMC, a three-time leader for Tufts Wilderness Orientation, co-captain of the Tufts Women’s Ultimate Frisbee B-Team, and far more. Lily loved and engaged with the natural world to a degree that few of us do. She was famous for doing things like skinning an albino squirrel on the Loj porch, and spending spring break in the Middlesex Fells with only a knife. More than that, she was a dear friend and a humble and capable leader.

She followed her love for biology and the great outdoors after graduation, working field jobs in the western US trapping coyotes, then tracking venomous pit pipers in Hong Kong. She dreamed of eventually becoming a veterinarian or a wildlife biologist, but her last adventure ended in Thailand in January 2014. This was a loss not just to those who knew her, but to all of us who, without knowing it, will be touched by her legacy.
