Owen Lawler

Co-President

Owen (he/him) is a sophomore from Lexington, MA studying electrical engineering, and he is thrilled to be a co-president of TMC! He loves getting outdoors and you can usually find him attempting to run faster than the Green Line, hiking and backpacking across New England, skiing wherever there is snow, or walking up the steps at the Harvard stadium. He also likes not wearing cotton while hiking, oscilloscopes, and figuring out which brand of pen is the best. He is super excited to help TMC provide amazing outdoor experiences for all, so if you have any questions regarding activities around campus or up in the White Mountains, or suggestions for the club, please don’t hesitate to contact him!

Josie Abramson

Co-President

Josie (she/her) is a sophomore and is overjoyed to be TMC Co-President!! From Denver, CO, she  loves spending time in the sun relaxing and hanging with friends. In her free time you will find her hiking, reading in a hammock, exploring a new corner of Boston, throwing a frisbee, or running. Some favorite parts of life for Josie are a good sunset, specialty coffee, unexpected live music, a walk and talk hangout, and Noah Kahan. As someone who grew up enjoying a variety of outdoor activities, Josie can’t wait to foster positive experiences for others. She encourages members to reach out with any ideas or feedback on what the community wants to see from TMC (and would love any excuse to meet a new face and sit and chat over a coffee!)

Tufts Mountain Club

The Tufts Mountain Club’s (TMC) motto is “Go Outside”. More specifically, we connect members of the Tufts community with resources, knowledge, and friends to explore the outdoors. We welcome seasoned adventurers, first-time hikers, and everything in between.

TMC is one of the largest student organizations on campus. Founded in 1939, the organization is also one of the oldest on campus. We carry on many traditions from year to year, but also look for opportunities to offer new experiences to members.
